SAFA underwhelm with their PMP

SAFA PMP

Initially looking quite cute, you suddenly realise that SAFA’s latest PMP doesn’t quite cut the mustard when you find out that it doesn’t support video playback which is probably a good thing given the size of the display. However this glaring omission from the feature lineup isn’t reflected in the price. Here are a few of the features that SAFA decided to leave in!

* 1.8 inch display
* audio support for MP3, WMA, WAV, APE and FLAC
* games
* FM radio
* photo album
* 8 hours of audio playback with full charge

The unit comes in two size flavours, the 1 GB option setting you back the equivalent of US$95 whilst its big brother with 2 GB of storage is marked at US$116. Neither price tag has me exactly leaping for joy as this sucker is ‘just’ a music player. So no Christmas cheer or good will from SAFA this year - bah humbug!
