We like Onkyo gear, we’ll confess that now. So needless to say we’re drooling over their latest addition, the BD-SP809, to their Blu-Ray player range. It’s got all the bells and whistles you’d expect, such as 3D support, USB connectivity, networking and online streaming plus a reasonable price tag of $599.

Today we’re taking a look at some software for a change, namely Chit Chat for Facebook from the UK company Athena IT Ltd. The Windows version has been out there for a while, but Athena have just launched a Chit Chat app for your Blackberry. The app is currently available at a special price of $1.99 for those early adopters, and sports a tabbed user interface for handling multiple conversations. There’s nothing worse than having a message meant for your spouse or partner ending up on your boss’s computer screen! The Chit Chat app for your Blackberry ensures that no wires get crossed!

Yeah, they’re all the rage at the moment, tablets are most definitely in! And here’s Vizio’s offering, an 8 inch Android tablet with Wi-Fi. It’s also got an IR blaster to control other hardware and has a front-facing camera for chatting with friends when you’re not busy being entertained by that other hardware. There’s a 1GHz processor powering Vizio’s tablet and 4GB of internal storgae which can be upgraded to 32GB with an apprpriate microSD card. And at the moment the Amazon price tag for Vizio tablet pre-orders reads $350.
