MPIO MG300 PMP is out and about

Another snazzy looking PMP is out there, the MPIO MG300 have just been unleashed in Japan with its funky twin control pads. No news on a US release but it shouldn’t be too long away. Here are some details to drool over meanwhile

* 320 x 240 res 2.4 inch LCD display
* video support for DivX, XviD, WMV and MPEG-1/2/4
* audio support for MP3, WMA, APE, FLAC
* three capacities 2, 4 or 8 GB
* SD expansion slot for another 2 GB
* equaliser with 8 presets
* microphone
* FM tuner
* USB port
* 700 mA Li-ion battery (three hours to charge, giving five hours of video and 20 hours of audio playback)
* 95.3 x 48.4 x 12.5 mm
* 56 g

The price tag in Japan is the equivalent of US$97, US$132 and US$176 for the 2 GB, 4 GB and 8GB models respectively. Not badly priced at all.
