We confess that we like Creative gear especially Creative PMPs and today we took a look at a great addition for your PMP, the ZiiSound D5 BT wireless sound system. This little unit sports a 2.0 speaker system of high performance 2.75 inch drivers which will connect to any of your toys that support Bluetooth connectivity. Got a toy with no Bluetooth support, then you can still get connected to the ZiiSound by using Creative’s BT-D1 Bluetooth USB transmitter. Here’s a list of features and details on the ZiiSound D5 BT
* Wirelessly stream music from any Bluetooth-enabled device
* Awarded the prestigious red dot award for product design
* apt-X audio codec
* high performance 2.75″ full range drivers with efficient digital amplifiers
* touch-sensitive volume control
* charge your iPhone or iPod by docking it
* AUX-in port for other portable devices
* integrated bass port at the rear
* Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR connectivity
* Supported Bluetooth profiles – A2DP & AVRCP
* Operating Range Up to 10 meters
* 42.5cm x 11cm x 9cm
* 3.8 kg
Whilst it may not be the greatest sound system in the world, it may be a great addition to your gadget list for those of you with a bluetooth PMP/smartphone. We couldn’t find any hands on reviews of the ZiiSound but we reckon that it could be a winner for Creative and it’s available at Amazon
for $300 at the moment. If you happen to have heard what the Creative ZiiSound sounds like, feel free to let us all know in the comment box below.

The numbers on CyberPower’s latest gaming rig are almost as big as its name, with the Gamer Dragon CrossFireX Ultimate sporting AMD’s Phenom™II X6 1090T Six-Core CPU, 8GB of memory and dual ATI Radeon HD 5870 2GB graphics cards. Unfortunately the standard model’s price tag is big too at $2555, note that this is however the standard model and you can downgrade some options to make it smaller. Here’s the full list of features and specs on that standard Gamer Dragon CrossFireX Ultimate
* NZXT Khaos Black Full Tower Case
* AMD Phenom™II X6 1090T Six-Core CPU w/ HyperTransport Technology
* Asetek 510LC Liquid Cooling System 120MM Radiator & Fan (Enhanced Cooling Performance + Extreme Silent at 20dBA)
* Motherboard: Asus M4A89GTD Pro/USB3 AMD 890GX Chipset

A fantastic array of specifications which when all added up makes the price tag of $2555 seem quite impressive too. So if you’re on the lookout for a decent gaming rig we reckon you could do a lot worse than check out the Gamer Dragon CrossFireX Ultimate from CyberPower.

Whilst Vivitek’s SVGA DLP projector, the D510, may be primarily aimed at the corporate market, with a price tag of close to $470 at Amazon
it could be considered as a cheap home entertainment unit. Of course it lacks a few bells and whistles that the higher end of the HE projector market sports but as a compact projector it’s not a bad unit. Here are the numbers on Vivitek’s D510 DLP projector
* Brightness (Lumens) 2600 ANSI
* Contrast 2300:1
* Audible Noise 31.0 dB
* 1.9 kg
* 8 x 26 x 20 cm
* Manual Focus
* Handles 720p, 1080i, EDTV/480p, SDTV/480i
* Component Video, HDMI and computer inputs
* Native – 800×600 res
* Maximum – 1600×1200 res
* Aspect Ratio 4:3 (SVGA)
* 180W lamp
* Lamp Life 3000 hours
* Speakers 1.0W Mono
* RS232 Port
* USB Port
The D510 has only been available for a couple of months now yet is already on discount at Amazon
as mentioned. We’re not sure whether that’s a good thing or not, but with the specs and price tag combo, the Vivitek D510 DLP projector looks a bargain to us.

Last November we looked at OCZ’s Colossus 3.5 inch SSD range, and here we are only five months later the San Jose SSD manufacturer has unleased a new range of Colossus 3.5 inch SSDs. This time the top end of the range sports, dare we say, a colossus 1 TB model and as last time the range starts with a 120GB model. Here are the rest of the numbers on the latest OCZ SSDs.
* 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, 1TB capacities
* Internal RAID 0
* 128MB Onboard Cache
* Seek Time < .1ms
* Lightweight Aluminum Casing
* 146 (L) x 101.6 (W) x 25.4mm (H)
* Talks nicely with Windows 7, XP, Vista, and Linux
* Read: Up to 260 MB/s
* Write: Up to 260 MB/s
* Sustained Write: 220 MB/s (140 MB/s for 120GB model)
* Max IOPS: 15,000 (4K random)
Of course these models are not going to be cheap and over at Amazon, they sport the following price tags
OCZ Colossus 120GB
– $431.48
OCZ Colossus 250GB
– $820.05
OCZ Colossus 500GB
– $1523.99
OCZ Colossus 1TB
– $3539.81
But if you want super quiet, super swift data access then those price tags may not be too daunting.
