Viewsonic’s VX2450WM monitor is currently the hot item over at Amazon and so it should be with its price tag sliced almost on half. The 24 inch 1080p LED monitor sports a wide-screen display, 20,000,000:1 contrast ratio along with integrated speakers. There’s a mixed bag of reviews with the absence of an HDMI connection of note. But anyway before we get ahead of ourselves here are the details on the Viewsonic VX2450WM monitor.

Pros - great value
Cons - no HDMI input
We’re going to give the thumbs up to the Viewsonic VX2450WM purely on the price alone! Although no HDMI connection does seem a bit unusual and integrated speakers are a bit ho-hum in these days where PC surround sound outputs are not unusual. So if you’re after a good value monitor the Viewsonic VX2450WM may just be up your street.
An average score of 4.05 out of 5 based on these 5 reviews.
At just a touch over three hundred dollars the ViewSonic PJD5123 SVGA projector seems like a steal to us. The DLP, 2700 lumens projector throws out a 800×600 res display with 3000:1 contrast. Of course the PJD5123 is not going to satisfy the HD home theatre enthusiast but if you’re after a cheap projector with reasonable features ViewSonic’s PJD5123 may just be the ideal model.
Today we’re taking a look at ViewSonic’s 27 inch HDTV cum monitor, the VT2730. Admittedly not a large market but an existing one none-the-less. Possibly the best thing about the VT2730 is its price tag which rocks in at only $369 over at Amazon. We like the VT2730, and if you’re after a large monitor its a pretty good purchase at $369. However we’re not totally convinced as its suitability as your HDTV. We did find one review over at PCMag who had image quality as a negative yet colour quality as a plus.
If you are using a ViewSonic VT2730 either as an HDTV or as a monitor, feel free to let us know what you think.
We are quite impressed by ViewSonic’s Mini PC, the VOT125. Not only is it small enough to fit behind your mega HDTV or monitor but the top end version packs its own grunt in the form of a Core 2 Duo processor. It also has a sleek look and have ULV as standard - that’s Ultra-Low Voltage to those of you scratching your heads as we were. So there’s a hidden streak of green inside the VOT125′s sleek black box. Here’s a fuller list of bits and pieces on ViewSonic’s VOT125
* Single Core SU743 Celeron®, Dual Core SU2300 Celeron, Pentium SU4100 or Core 2 Duo SU7300 processor options
* Windows 7 Home Premium
* 2 GB memory
* 250 GB HDD
* 4 x USB 2.0 ports
* DVI-I output
* HDMI output
* 3 in 1 card reader
* 4.5 x 1.5 x 5.1 inches
* 3.9 pounds
* 10/100/1000 Ethernet
* Integrated 802.11b/g/n
So if you’re after a small form factor PC then the ViewSonic VOT125 may be just what you’re after. As mentioned there are four options and of course four different price tags, here are the processor options again with the current Amazon price tags.
Sort of just in time for Christmas, Viewsonic have unleashed the VT2430 LCD HDTV on the world. The 24 inch unit sports 1080p resolution and a staggering US$400 price tag. For the other bits and pieces read on
* 10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio
* ATSC / NTSC / QAM TV tuner
* HDMI 1.3, VGA, component, s-video, and composite connectivity
* 250 nits brightness
* 16:9 aspect ratio (1920 x 1080 res)
Some would say we’re easily impressed, but I think Viewsonic VT2430′s specs speak for themselves, especially when a mouth-watering US$400 price tag is hanging around its neck. Admittedly not the largest screen on the block but then as a second unit it could be a damn fine choice or a first option if you don’t want your TV to dominate your surroundings.
