Vizio Thin and Light CT14-A0 14-inch Ultrabook

December 18th, 2015

The Vizio CT14-A0 Ultrabook is ideal for those of us looking for a laptop that doesn’t weigh a tonne but still packs the punch of a heavier counterpart. Despite it’s lean dimensions at 13.3 x 9.2 x 0.67 inches and weighing in at a mere 3.39 pounds, the CT14-A0 still sports a quick 1.8 GHz Core i3-3217U processor backed up with a 128GB solid state drive. All in all this lightweight laptop will still keep up with the big boys.

There’s nothing really amazing in the specs above apart from may be the SSD, but of course it’s that weight and thickness that catches the eye or should we say lack of. Also a nifty price tag of US$500. Let’s see what others think about the Vizio CT14-A0.

Vizio CT14-A0 Ultrabook Reviews
Amazon – 3.5 out of 5
PC Mag – 3.5 out of 5
Engadget – 71 out of 100

The reviews are definitely of the ‘could do better’ type but don’t write it off completely. However a common complaint is around the keyboard durability with users having to retype certain letters! Also the specs are a bit on the ‘tight’ side with both PC Mag and engadget highlighting these problems. Alas we are going to give the Vizio Thin and Light CT14-A0 14-inch Ultrabook a thumbs down.
