Canon EOS Rebel T2i
Canon have just unleashed yet another great entry-level DSLR camera in their EOS Rebel range. The latest addition, the T2i, sports an 18 MP sensor with a 3 inch LCD display plus it can record 720p video with stereo sound. Here’s the full list of bits and pieces on the Canon EOS Rebel T2i

* 18.0 megapixel CMOS (APS-C) sensor
* DIGIC 4 Image Processor
* ISO 100-6400 (expandable to 12800)
* Enhanced 63-zone, Dual-layer metering system
* Improved EOS Movie mode with manual exposure control and expanded recording 1920 x 1080 (Full HD)
* Wide 3.0-inch Clear View LCD monitor
* Dedicated Live View/Movie shooting button
* New compatibility with SDXC memory cards allowing 64GB of storage

Needless to say it also has the usual manual exposure control, autofocus features of the Rebel range. The video component can grab 60 fps for 720p video and has a 7X zoom when recording standard def vid. The EOS Rebel T2i is compatible with Canon’s EF lenses and comes with the usual Canon photo software.

It also handles Eye-Fi SD cards which have an internal 802.11b/g Wi-Fi transmitter to allow wireless transfer of images, which we think is pretty cool! In still mode the T2i will contiuously shoot at 3.7 fps to capture those high action images. All in all a great starter DSLR. 1. Budi:

    Here are a few observations from using Canon EOS Rebel T2i for the past 2 days:
    * RAW files from this camera not supported in OS X yet
    * MOV files created will test your computers speed
    * MOV files in 1080p will eat up ~330MB/min and use ~15mbit/s bitrate
    * Good starter lens, but I can already tell I’ll want something to supplement it
    * Great fit and finish
    * Very light
