Mitsubishi LT-52149 HDTV Soundbar Combo

I like it when manufacturers take two gadgets and merge them into one, if only because the combined cost is usually less than the separate units! Also space-saving and functionality usually benefit from the merger too. Well Mitsubishi are my friends today with their LT-52149 52 inch 1080p LCD HDTV which sports an integrated soundbar. Obviously a soundbar doesn’t match the quality of a surround system, so whilst audiophiles may turn their noses at the LT-52149, anyone looking for a space saving hi-def option may need look no further.

Some nice figures there, but alas the price tag rocks in at $4,100 … unless of course you nip over to my friends at Best Buy where it’s significantly reduced to US$3,000. Still not cheap but a good option if your lounge isn’t too roomy.
