We like sliders, a lot, so needless to say we quite like the latest mobile offering from Samsung, the horizontal QWERTY slider, the Messager aka SCH-r450. The Messager is available to customers at MetroPCS and Samsung retail outlets. Whilst not heavy on bells and whistles, the Messager boasts everything you’d expect
* Horizontal Slider with QWERTY Keyboard
* Stereo Bluetooth Wireless Technology for hands free use
* MP3 Player (microSD expansion for up to 2 GB of tunes)
* 1.3 Mp Camera
* Messaging Services including SMS, MMS, email and IM messaging
* Advanced Voice Recognition
* Speakerphone
* Dimensions: 4.4” x 2.0” x 0.7”
* Display: 2.1” 262K TFT, 176X220 pixels
What about the price tag, I hear you say. Well at MetroPCS the Samsung Messager rocks in at US$200 without shackles. Not bad for a neat little slider phone.

Apparently there’s some big sporting event going down in China soon, so RAmos have decided to try and part visiting spectators with their hard-earned yuan by releasing the T8 iMovie touchscreen PMP. We’re not too sure what the marketing department were smoking when they came up this sucker’s moniker but it certainly boasts some intriguing stats
* 4.3 inch 480×272 res touchscreen display
* 32 GB storage
* Support for RMVB, AVI, FLV, WMV, MPG, MP4, DAT, 3GP video formats
* TV-OUT port
Unfortunately no more bells and whistles are available other than a price tag of 1500 yuan or US$220 for the 32 GB version, with 16 GB and 8 GB options rocking in at US$150 and US$100 respectively.
So if you’re over in Beijing for the Olympics, it may well be worth checking the RAmos T8 iMovie, not a gold medal winner but certainly on the podium.

I must admit the latest Zen music and video player from Creative, the Mozaic 2GB/4GB DAP, looks kinda funky with its multi-colour controls. But are looks enough to make the masses rush out and buy one of these suckers? Here’s the low down on the specs on the Mozaic to see if it is stampede worthy.
* 2 GB or 4 GB capacity options
* 1.8 inch 128 x 160 res TFT display
* Built-in speaker
* 32 hours of continuous audio playback
* 5 hours of continuous video playback
* Integrated FM radio with 32 pre-sets
* Voice memo recording
* Support for audio formats mp3, wma, wav and Audible 4
* Support for image formats jpeg, bmp, gif, png, tiff
* Alarm clock, calendar and contact features
* 3.1 x 1.6 x 0.5 inches
* 0.1 lbs
* USB 2.0 connectivity
As for price tags, the 2 GB version rocks in at US$60, whilst its bigger brother weighing in at 4 GB will set you back US$80. Both these units compare favourably with the SanDisk Sansa Fuze which on release would have set you back an extra $20 for the same capacities. So going on prices and specs it looks as if good old Creative have come up with a little gem with the Zen Mozaic DAP.
