Marantz VP-11S2 DLP

Whilst this puppy may be at the top end of the buying scale, it’s nice to see a new projector for those of us with more money than sense a little spare cash lying around. So to satisfy our spending desire, Marantz have brought out a new DLP projector, the VP-11S2, to be available in 2008. Here are a few more bits and pieces on this sucker.

* 1920 x 1080 res
* two HDMI inputs, as well as the usual component, composite, s-video, RGB inputs
* Texas Instrument’s DarkChip4 chipset
* 800 lumens
* 12,000:1 contrast ratio

Unfortunately no price tag, but with its predecessor, the VP-11S1, rocking in at US$20,000 don’t expect this latest offering to be in the bargain section. However I’m sure the unit will live up to the usual quality expected from Marantz.
