Vista feedback

Much frustration Vista creates!

Seriously speaking now, people tend to dislike the new operating system from Microsoft. For many a reason that is, but in the top there seem to be the incompatibility with a great deal of hardware devices, driver problems, installation problems, high requirements, etc.

The question is: To Vista or not to Vista?

    he seems pretty satisfied ;)

  2. Bogdan Popa:

Well he’s not exactly the exigent programmer type!

  3. Natron:

I have it one my laptop and have had no issues with it. It actually seems to run smother and faster than the same machine running XP. I am using this machine for Visual Studio development of ASP.NET

Was a lot easier getting .NET v3 and AJAX1.0 Running on it.

  4. Bogdan Popa:

As one might see that’s not the case for everybody. :)

  5. Bogdan Boghiu:

When Windows XP got live, I was still using Win Me and my old PII, so I had to wait a while until I could use the new OS. But that eventually got better, computers got replaced, and I’m sure things will change for Vista as well by 2010.

  6. Sushant Bhatia:

That guys an idiot. I’m running vista right now and its nothing but a pleasure to use. Hasn’t blue screened on me once since I installed the final release. During install, it found all my components, set them all up including the drivers and just beautifully installed itself in 20 min.

If your the kind of person who believes that things should run on your old p3, maybe you should stick with linux (Even Macs require powerfull computing power).

Sure its not as “beautiful” as a mac but I’d rather forgo that then sell my soul to Jobs infernal spoilt apple core. Stupid macs. :-)

  7. Bogdan Popa:

Well I myself have tried Vista and wasn’t THAT much of a hussle. I had problems with my webcam and graphic tablet installation. But there are other sides of the problem to: EULA info

  8. Joey Bhananas:

So you’re saying Bill Gates and Paul Allen don’t collect souls? How do you think they’d gotten their devilishly-good looks?

  9. Ronn:

I can sympathize with that guy. I just bought a new laptop with Vista installed. None of my printers would work, most of my software would not work, the stupid OS kept asking me “did the software install properly?” How do I know? Can’t tell until I try to use it and I can’t try it until I answer the stupid question.
Long story short-Went out and bought XP and installed it.

  10. Jim Christie:

I think Vista is the most infuriating, most useless pos i have even heard of. I hate it a will be changing back as soon as i can . It irritates me on a daily basis.

  11. The Incredibly Stupid Consumer:

i bought the HP Pavilion dv5 1070 ee laptop.

    It has the following configuration:

    2.53GHz Centrino 2
    Nvidia Graphics card
    Fingerprint sensor
    4GB RAM
    tv tuner card
    bluetooth, blah, blah, blah…

My point is its got power-a lot of hardware.

Now HP shipped with it Vista!! I mean its like a dicease man and i didn’t pay 4 it!!!

First of all most of my critical software are:

    - NOT running!!!
    - Running (maybe): meaning they run inconsistently. Either they dont run or do.
    - Running and DYING !!! ( Will somebody just shoot me and get it over with! )

Now i tried to install XP but I cannot because i m missin the WTF SATA Driver.

now i try to disable it from the bios but there is no typical options there infact everything you find in a bios is GONE!!

by the time i downgraded my windows, i have lost out on all of the goodies-No fingerprint thingy, no tv tuner, etc-etc-GET THE PICTURE???

Now whose bright idea was it anyway to NOT support Backward compatibility???

I want to sue someone here…

I pay good money and I get a crappy OS that does everythin but my job??? On top of that the display is sooo good that it looks good NOT doing my job???!!!

All that power sure went to waste on Vista-What a shame, huh?!!

Keep in mind people-look 4 the confiuration AND the bios options AND the OS AND make sure you can change ur OS at will.

    Enquire, Enquire, Enquire….

    DONT get flimflammed like me.

Vista is where XP was when it was lauched.

Yes it WILL be a great OS one day-but that day is NOT today. Its about ten years in the Future. by the time they will launch another better lookin OS that is not backward compatible and force you 2 suffer.

So, please join me-END it now!!!

    Kill Vista Campaign!!!
