Mozilla Firefox 3.0 available in upcoming summer
January 12th, 2007Mozilla made its intention public of making Firefox 3.0 (Gran Paradiso) available in the summer of 2007. There’s a slight possibility that it will be delayed until the end of the year maximum, but that’s unlikely.

�The document sets out the feature set, product requirements and prioritization for the development and release of Firefox 3, code-named “Gran Paradiso”, presently under development with an expected release in Q3 2007. The intended audience for this document is the community involved in designing, developing, testing and managing the release of the product as well as partners and third-party developers who are building software that extends Gran Paradiso�
Firefox 3.0 planning documentation
Mozilla’s Release Road Map additionally disclosed the Firefox 3.0 milestones. They’re planning to release two alpha versions and two beta versions before the final product. They’re also planning to release one major version every year, so we should expect Firefox 4.0 by the end of 2008.
