Crazy Zune video ads
January 2nd, 2007We all have seen some crazy ads now and then, some of them funny others really smart that make you think but I have to admit, the Zune video campaign has some of the weirdest clips I’ve ever seen. It all started with the website that I visited a time ago and had some pretty peculiar artwork on display and now this series of commercials that I can’t even describe, it’s best for you to see for yourselves.
And these are but a few of the clips meant to promote Zune, will they succeed? They just might!

Hairless cock and balls, ROFLMAO!
This ads are for Zune, but they are from a community portal and these are the visions of it`s members. In fact I have got real fun with some of them:)
I think to take a Zune these days.
Zune is cool, but if you don’t know what a Zune is, neither of these ads will help you find out that, so the ads are not even trying to approach the newbie in the field.
Or maybe they’re not ads at all, just fan art…
The videos are a hybrid mix of user fan art and advertisement. The message behind these reflects the sharing/social nature and function that makes the Zune unique: the ability to share music with other Zune users wirelessly. I agree, they are a bit “interesting” in design but thats what makes them all memorable (the essence of good marketing, though this may not have been the best course of action). Still, they’re great for what they are and different isn’t always a bad thing (think “Nightmare Before Christmas” and the cult phenomenon THAT film became).
