Yahoo Answers is one year old today

Yahoo Answers Bday

A year ago in December, Yahoo! Answers Beta launched. Today, the service is one year old. After reaching their first 10 million answers in May, they have now answered over 160 million questions (and counting). My guess is that these figures will exponentially grow since Google dropped their Answers service a while ago.

Yahoo Answers is available in twenty countries, in nine languages, and there are more in the works for the Yahoo staff. The service consists in people with a genuine interest in helping others, and people who believe knowledge can change the world. To commemorate Answers’ first birthday, Yahoo! has planned an all-day Answers event on Wednesday (12/13), and everyone’s invited to join in. Food, drinks and fun is on the house. Their house, of course ;)

For the valuable people who contribute to the developing of Yahoo Answers, we salute you!
