Another Google update
December 10th, 2006
After reading the last two articles by Etherfast about Google I wanted to see what else is new concerning the fastest growing enterprise on the Internet, so here you have it:
TechCrunch announces Google released Mail Fetcher, Mail Fetcher is a service that basically allows you to use 5 other e-mail accounts that support POP. You can send an receive e-mails using other than Google e-mail account still benefiting all the advantages Gmail brags about for so long. This is a big move since now you can have all your e-mail accounts centralized and on he go all the time, as Michael Arrington was saying it’s Outlook only free and online. Some keep wondering, can Google become any more perfect?!
From Google Operating System we find out that new layers were released for Google Earth and we can note here the Wikipedia layer that shows relevant Wikipedia articles for places on Google Earth. And the Panoramio layer that provides photos uploaded by users for various places on Earth.
Yesterday Google began the tests for the new Google Audio Ads by inviting a small group of advertisers to place small audio ads on hundreds of stations all over the U.S. Google supports advertisers to create the ads an place them on the air and also monitor the marketing effect by date, time of the day and location where the ad was broadcasted. Google say that Google Audio Ads will stay in beta for an indefinite period.
And these are only a few of the small but constant and numerous updates that Google comes with every day!
