Wii entertainment comes at a price

There is a wave of rumors over the blogosphere lately about the new Wii gaming platform from Nintendo. Games agree that Wii is lots of fun for the whole family, especially for the kids and all agree also that Wii has a better sense of immersion than the direct contestants, PS3 and Xbox360. The wireless controllers used by Wii have motion-sensors that guide the actions of the game, so in order to play a tennis game you have to make all the moves that a tennis player would do. Now I have found a lot of funny stories about some guy that accidentally hit a friend or a dog playing games like tennis or bowling, but that’s mostly entertainment.

Some, more out of shape gamers, have other complaints about the Wii controller that gave sour joints in the morning after a good game with the friends the other night. Take a look here at the moves the NFS Carbon player has to make in order to control the car. For me this is not necessarily a bad thing but some may not want to go trough all that effort to play some virtual tennis, so the opinions are divided. But these are all rumors and gossips and Wii seems to do quite well for the moment.

I have strong confidence that Nintendo won’t fell behind in the console race.

Are people really that lazy? My god, maybe some sore joints is what they need. Perhaps their joints are sore because they don’t get enough excersize and they should quit complaining.

Tell that to the regular coach potato. You would be surprised to find out the number of people that are annoyed by this. As far as I’m concerned I think you’re right!
