Firefox 2 vs. IE7

FF beats IE

I have to say that Google and Firefox are my lovemarks (Lovemarks by Kevin Roberts, CEO Worldwide of Saatchi & Saatchi), both because they offer great quality in a simple manner and they do it for free. I will enjoy writing about them in the future as I did until now, as I am a really satisfied user.

The download stats are out for Firefox 2 and IE7. Internet Explorer 7 was downloaded by 3 million people in the first 4 days, as found on the IEblog. In a few weeks, IE7 will be distributed via Automatic Updates for Windows XP; rumours say that it will be available as a critical update.

But the stats are in favor of Firefox. The version 2.0 of the browser had over 2 million downloads in the first 24 hours (with a peak rate of more than 30 downloads per second), as found on the weblog of Mike Beltzner.

Firefox’s popularity grows day by day, as more people find it more stable and more reliable than the Microsoft product. If you haven’t tested it, download it and judge for yourself.
